Terms of business
Plain-language terms for using our website and buying or part-exchanging a vehicle.
1. About us
Billy’s Wheels Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16916642. Our registered office (legal disclosure) is 5 Blendworth Lane, Southampton, SO18 5GY. Our public trading area is West End, Southampton. You can contact us at sales@billyswheels.co.uk.
2. Website and vehicle information
We aim to keep prices, mileage, specification, photographs and descriptions accurate. Used vehicles can vary by model year and previous ownership, and information supplied by manufacturers, auctions, history providers or other third parties may contain errors. Please check any feature that is important to you before agreeing to buy. A website advert is an invitation to enquire and does not by itself form a contract.
3. Availability, viewing and test drives
Vehicles remain subject to availability until a sale is agreed. Viewings and test drives are by appointment. We may ask to see a valid driving licence and may apply reasonable insurance or age requirements before a test drive.
4. Price, deposits and payment
The agreed order form, invoice or sales document will confirm the vehicle, price, any part exchange, deposit, balance and collection arrangements. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, cleared payment is required before the vehicle is released and ownership transfers. Any deposit terms will be explained before payment is taken.
5. The vehicle and preparation
A used vehicle will show wear consistent with its age, mileage and previous use. We will explain known material information and any preparation included in the sale. You should inspect and test the vehicle, or arrange an independent inspection, before purchase. Odometer information will be described as warranted only where we have expressly confirmed that in writing.
6. Your legal rights
Where you buy as a consumer, the vehicle must be as described, of satisfactory quality taking account of its age, price and mileage, and fit for any particular purpose you made known and we accepted. Remedies may be available if these requirements are not met. Any warranty or service plan is additional to, and does not replace or restrict, your statutory rights.
7. Part exchange
If we agree to take a vehicle in part exchange, you must be entitled to transfer it and tell us about outstanding finance, insurance loss, material faults, mileage discrepancies, ownership issues or other information that may affect its value. The valuation may be adjusted if the vehicle’s condition or information differs materially from what was disclosed.
8. Distance or off-premises sales
If a binding consumer contract is concluded entirely at a distance or away from our premises, additional cancellation information or rights may apply. We will provide any information required for the particular transaction before the contract is concluded. Some exceptions can apply, including once a service has been fully performed at your express request.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made or for business losses suffered by a consumer.
10. Complaints
Please contact us promptly at sales@billyswheels.co.uk with the vehicle registration, a clear description of the issue and any supporting information. We will review the matter fairly and respond as soon as reasonably possible.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts that apply where you live in the United Kingdom.
